Summer garden colour at Brown Earth HQ

The Brown Earth Garden has come on in leaps and bounds over the past few months so at the same time as announcing updates to my website with additions to my portfolio pages I thought I’d go all the way and upload some recent pictures from home as well.

It’s amazing how quickly everything grows in the fertile Perthshire soil and interesting to see what plants make an instant impact and which ones take a little longer to establish.  Plants like Anchusa and Circium rivulare are great for immature plantings but it’s important that they don’t seem out of proportion with other smaller plants surrounding them.  My Anchusa grew so large that I resorted to cutting it down as soon as I could bear to lose the flowers and it has rewarded me well with a second flush.
