Our design philosophy focuses on a strong classical framework and includes a wide range of styles from contemporary urban spaces to large country gardens with a more traditional layout. Importantly, our gardens are recognised for their clean, strong architectural lines, lush and luxuriant planting, elegant styling and use of colour.
There is an emphasis on the intuitive use of plants and materials to create vibrant gardens with lifelong style and elegance. The inclusion of work by Scottish sculptors and artists as well as local plants and materials wherever possible is a core element in Brown Earth’s designs.
Years spent working as a garden designer in Edinburgh and before that in London mean that Claire is well practiced at maximising the possibilities of a small garden space. Equally, being based in Perthshire she is now regularly involved in planning larger gardens across Scotland.
